Happiness that sticks-can you use flowers-Let’s learn from Dr Rick Hanson-what does he say?

Beloved Flower Lover,

We are still pondering the use of flowers. We know that people give and receive them to express love, peace and joy, however we do sometimes wonder-really!

We notice that people are still negative even after being shown love, or having been given a compliment or a gift of flowers. So we are really interested in what Dr.Rick has to say.

In his work, Hardwiring Happiness : The Hidden Power of Everyday Experiences on the Modern Brain.  How to overcome the Brain’s Negativity Bias. Rick Hanson who is a neuropsychologist and the author of Hardwiring Happiness explains how to use positive experiences to build resilence. by overcoming our brains negativity bias. Learning from good experiences- is not so easy. But good at learning from bad news! So what do we do.

Rick says we need at least 5 :1 good experiences for the good to sink in. To weave in good experiences into the fabric of our brains.

Listen to Ricks tips at the end of the video.

Think not lightly of good, saying, “It will not come to me.”
Drop by drop is the water pot filled.
Likewise, the wise one, gathering it little by little, fills oneself with good.

We are so interested in what you  feel about what he has to say.

The London Flower Lover
