Anxiety rules the world for some of us as we live a world of selfies, having to achieve another goal, needing friends to like us and needing to achieve social status.

Although some us make the effort on the quiet to list out our achievements nightly in a gratitude log, to recognize that we have friends who respect us  for our uniqueness, and have someone who has our back, whether on a one to one, small group, community or the world.

Some of us don’t. Some of us don’t have any other that and that can turn anxiety into depression!

Nevertheless some us are learning that even without social media liking us . That even without close friends, or a list of unique achievements  that we can spout of at the drop of a hat, that we are still lovable, huggable, kissable and gorgeous . Yes, even if others on the outside do not recognize that we can learn to find genuine happiness from the original source of it. Ourselves.

The Chief Education Officer at the London Flower Lover recently advised a young lady who asked her about this very same issue  to put her phone down during examination  season and to instead distract herself with flowers.

Distract herself with making small flower arrangements for herself alone has scientific backing to it. Floral Distraction Methods reduces cortisol , the stress hormone, which is triggered when you are not happy, when you perceive that you do not have friends, are not meeting goals, or have no social significance.

Get quiet and  make small floral arrangements for self, to give away very small arrangements and to make them as unique as possible.

  1. I believe this is the start of a new science–flower therapy.

    • Been really thinking about this and would agree. There is science out there and we have been thinking about collating it-linking neuroscience and more. We reckon its our move to make.We will need to be proactive about this . Thank you.
