Beloved Flower Lover,
Corporate Social Responsibility can be defined as:
A company’s sense of responsibility towards the community and environment (both ecological and social) in which it operates.
Companies express this citizenship (1) through their waste and pollution reduction processes,
(2) by contributing educational and social programs, and
(3) by earning adequate returns on the employed resources.
See also corporate citizenship.
We think about the Dove campaigns which focus on the development of social esteem for their communities and we see how we fit.
We know that we have a journey to go with the environmental element of our social responsibility because so much of floristry actually has a major impact on the environment. We cannot be fake about the industry. Where we are strong is our social responsibility. We offer workshops around self esteem and invite men and women to consider the truth behind love, peace and joy. And yes we love them to buy flowers from us, but that is not the focus. The focus is what we came here to do. Address that love is not just something to do, but its a moment that transcends the physical into something more spiritual of who we are. Flowers are symbolic of that.
