Beloved Flower Lover,
Just got the children back into the school routine, just got selves back into the work schedule. Still popping over town every other day looking after elder parents and still reminded ourselves that, we as women, flower when we remind ourselves that pleasure, rather than stressing is our guiding force. The autumn is a time of withdrawing deeper into the feminine powers. Sometimes consciously, sometimes not at all.
Still aware of making less than men financially, still aware of the tendency to push hard rather than stepping into the sense of joy and peace as an engine. Still aware of looking at the bottom line at the expense of personally recognising that love, joy and peace can be a way of ‘womaning up’, rather than manning up via ‘work, work, work’ and striving, without pleasure.
We get quietly reminded that we have 8000 nerve endings only dedicated to pleasure. Yes women have that many nerve endings dedicated only to pleasure. That flood the body with a sense of joy, connection and empowerment. That shuts down the cortisol, the stress stuff flowing in the body.
Then we get a reminder from a woman who has made it her business to pay attention to the valuing of the feminine. Not all weirdo. Just straight talk. Mama Gena, also known as Regena Thomashauer has just released a very provocatively entitled book. And Marie Forleo interviews her. Marie considers Regena Thomashauer’s bold and controversial book as a wake-up call for any woman ( and friends of women) who wants to reclaim her source of feminine power.
After we watched the video we were reminded not to ignore ourselves.
We know that after putting on our headphones as we listened to this interview we too were reminded that the ability to cultivate personal pleasure in any way we like ( including using flowers). is a direct antidote to stress because worthy of being named as worthy.
We have time for ourselves. We have time for our own pleasure. We have time.
