Beloved Flower Lover,
Winter solstice which some call the Heb Nen or HOLY HOLIDAY is almost here.
In our team we know that
we are approaching the most auspicious time of the year. The most liminal time.
Dec 21-24th and then up to Jan 6th… is the time to focus on peace, love and joy as reliable patterns of behaviour which can benefit us during the upcoming year ahead.
“… It is when you have left the tried and true, but have not yet been able to replace it with anything else.
It is when you are between your old comfort zone and any possible new answer.
It’s a time where you could feel stress if you are not trained in how to reduce anxiety about your money… your health… your family… It’s a time to reshape how to live with ambiguity. It’s a time to entrust yourself to the external smile of peace and wait in it. You may want to run…or just anything to flee this cloud of unknowing…. but this is the time of the winter solstice”.
Those who know of the wintertime and it’s solstice know that we all
“stand at the threshold” between our previous way of structuring our identity, time, or community, and a new way.
Those who use it’s power are calm about melting into this tradition which may feel uncertain if you are only looking at eternal outcomes to define success.
Instead, it’s a time of deep relaxion into and reflection of how our lives reflect the laws of life that govern us all. Those laws of peacefully taking neither gain nor loss to heart, as we appreciate life is for us. Rather than against us. That is the great holiday celebration that takes the shopping for gifts into a heartfelt direction.
Soon there will be a lot of talk about resolutions and productivity.
The phrase “New Year, New You!” will be posted through your door in a short while.
You’ll almost certainly receive the message that it’s time to buckle down, stop making excuses and do something awesome. Again. Just like last year.
But the trouble is, it’s kind of hard to be mega awesome when you’re tired, stressed ( angry, sad, lonely, scared, worried ) or just run-down.
Yes we went there because we know what it is like to feel scared and filled with doubts.
Or when your motivation and confidence have quietly ebbed away.
In other words, over the winter solstice you could easily feel pretty stressed and worried about your life. Work. Health. Career. Family. Finance. Romance.
Now, we know it does not have to be that way, so here’s what we are going to do.
Instead of sending you to a shouty, panic-filled, get-ready-for-2016-NOW-NOW-NOW winter solstice message. .We are going to remind you that preparing for the new year in a calm, steady, restorative way is the real purpose of the winter solstice.
Sleep… find ways to pull inwards… use beautiful flowers as a focal point for the real purpose of the winter solstice.
Honouring your divine self image of peace and harmony with all. Because She has never left her seat of peace within yourself. It is irrevocable -despite this years drama.Imagine that feeling. Irrevocable peace.Just spend a little time to notice her.And honour her with your gift of flowers.
