How to soften criticism using flowers

Beloved Flower Lover,

Some say it’s ok to offer criticism softly, others think not and in fact that that approach is manipulation.

Some say if you let someone know you care about them, you are addressing their strengths and then offer your feelings, opinion and judgement and that is the beginning of a journey of learning. Others say not.

Some say it reduces the possibility for defensiveness, that it offers heart information about how they are valued and how they make an impact on you. That it establishes and maintains the heart connection. Others think not.

You decide.

One thing we notice is giving flowers often comes with a softer loving intention and it opens up the heart of the receiver and sender. We have noticed in floristry that it’s not about muzzling a judgement because that too needs loving attention. We have noticed that what indeed it brings to the table is an heart based experience called self compassion That’s where giving oneself flowers can come in.

That’s heart based floristry!

…and who cares if the person you give flowers to does not have a vase (and that includes you)…you or they will find something to put them into.Heart based floristry is about love and compassion to self and others using flowers. ….and only you can decide how to value it.
