Preparing Wedding flowers and listening to Robert Holden who tell us that we are already lovable

Beloved Flower Lover,

We love this work. We enjoy how we help people experience love, beauty and joy in their lives using flowers. Having hand tied bouquets or center pieces created for them. As simple as that. So today, we were preparing Wedding Flowers using the Cowrie shells and diamond locket that the Bride had given to us for her reception dinner.

The couple wanted to reflect what they valued about their lovely heritage. The love heart locket from her mother, and the Cowrie shells, symbols of fertility from his culture. They was happy.

In keeping with the nuptial energy we put on some cool, soft, calm music with lovely harmonies and then went on- line to listen to Robert Holden’s weekly internet radio show about ‘shifting into loveability’

We were smiling and listening lots, as we concentrated on completing today’s job. We enjoyed his gentle British accent. Especially as he was talking to lots of North Americans. He sounded just like us. Working away we were in good spirits. But this energy was not about us, it was being used to getting the work done. Helping others enjoy their own lives through the inspiration of beauty, joy and happiness.

We were inspired by the fact that we were making spheres of white flowers designed to be hung during the reception. It was going to look stunning to all the guests. They would be breathtaking and elevate the entire atmosphere. It would sparkle. So we continued. Tools,  white flowers, oasis, water, wires, ribbons, shells, aprons with open and receptive ears.

We breathed out deeply as we enjoyed fresh and wonderful light bulb moments as we worked and listened to Robert … by jove we began to feel light as a feather as we got insight after insight.

insight number one

….it was like Robert was saying to us…when it comes to love, relax already and don’t personalise any feelings about you not being enough.

Forget feeding the anger, resentment, bitternness. You are lovable just as you are. Then good ideas will come to you.

insight number two

… a caller asked about how to make love last?

He softly guided her and said, “perhaps that’s the wrong question. You might like to ask yourself, who are you identifying with? Who is doing the loving? is it your ego or your real self?”

insight number three

The ego changes, yet the real self is unchangeable. The real self is love for an eternity.  That’s all it is. And you are, already of that, which is love. You are created from that. The created from love and the creative force of love in the world.

insight number four

The ego is whatever story you are in the habit of repeating from your culture or your family. You can always recognise the ego’s energy because it’s what ever story you get worked up about. Nevertheless we can still hold the ego with compassion. because it is not us. It’s like a wearing an ill fitting outfit. So if it is a story about lacking love, then know, that that is just a story we have made up.  Like all fairy tales, we can set up the story we tell to ourselves in such a way that we will lose, win or just reflect who we really are.

Insight number five

“Advice is cheap “he said, “I don’t have to take on the consequences of your life if you take or leave it. So you have to go into your own heart and explore this for yourself”.

Holden was on form!

We continued to snip away and construct our spheres of flowers whilst we listened to him.

Next step

He suggested that just by making a list of things we respect about ourselves  right now, right where we are, is the way that  we go about letting ourselves know directly that we are loved unconditionally, just as we are.

Nothing changed, but it was all different. These five fresh new insights changed our world of love . So thank you for following us as just like a ripple in joy. Making your natural loveability your center of attention, as we continue to design and deliver flowers throughout London for occasions, birthdays and more.

Flowers are the joy of a wedding – they are a testament to a profound and enduring commitment. A wonderful post….

    • Thank you for that kind comment.

Externally they confirm our internal commitment. Memorialising love clearly through flowers is our simple joy. It’s love, brought out into the public arena.

Preparing for a wedding brings up so much for so many people.

The destination is the journey, the lead up to this makes us aware of what is important. To separate facts from the story. We can see who we are.

Flowers give us the opportunity to celebrate the beauty of our identity. Our community of love. Flowers help us to tingle in that joy!
