Beloved Flower lover,
Jenna Elfman who has fallen in love with Ben Stiller’s character makes the choice never to doubt herself or her love even if Ben is confused about committing to their relationship. Her love of herself and of him is what gives the movie it’s ‘modern happy ending’.
Mama Gena of ‘The School of Womanly Arts’, introduced us to this film and suggested that “if Jenna had ended up doubting herself, the movie would have been re-titled, ‘Keeping the Doubt’. We wonder where are we putting our own self love in terms of our priorities today?
The argument scene from ‘Keeping the Faith’.
Choosing to be happy is one thing. Knowing why your own happiness is important to yourself is another. Then knowing how to use your own inner joys first to be the engine of your own happiness as a practise you can put into gear every day is quite another. We choose flowers to switch on our engine and act as fuel for that motor today.
