Beloved Flower Lover,
“May I have that design?”, she said, pointing to a vintage teacup with flowers in it.
“It’s our oddments”, we replied.
She looked hopeful, wide eyed, with a tiny smile.
“Perhaps you can do this yourself?” gentleness flowed between us, throughout our universe…more gentle than the softest warmest smile you could imagine
Her body became noticeably more comfortable. She cooed in response…
“Can you blame me for wanting something to hold onto, something that reminds me of the peaceful unaffected naturalness of life”…
Our body lanuguage reciprocated…even more comfortable than the textures of soft leaves we had been playing with.
“You already know this” We giggled
“Yes I do”
She giggled even more- in a gentle fashion, “Oddly I was feeling a little down and just wanted something low key to remind me to feel at peace with myself. I have so much to give thanks for right now. My daughter’s passing her exams so we can stop paying fees, us all moving home at last after living with my parents for all this time, and his recovery from his heart attack”.
“I just want something small to remind me to nourish my peace. To remind me to die to my fears. That things will turn out fine even when they look pear shaped. I do not want to forget to take good care of my peaceful place in the smallest of things as I get all my big material successes.”
“That’s fair cop we said, caring for your peace is where it’s at ”
