Snow in London, send a smile, send peace, send flowers.

Beloved Flower Lover,

It’s so gorgeous, London has a blanket of snow right now and as 2013 unfolds, there are a million reasons to step into the new. Should we go out into the cold we ask ourselves. Emotionally we were questioning our attitude. Was it a little pessimistic despite the outward practicality? or were we going to embrace the snow?

Well we are florists and emotionally we all do better when we are supported by others and now is the time to think of yourself  first and then others.

Often times we conjure up excuses for not believing in ourselves and even now as we are still in New Year  energy, or at least in the new moon energy it’s our attitudes that has the greatest impact on ourselves. We laugh, often we teach what we need to learn ourselves. So we asked ourselves, what do we need to nourish within ourselves this morning?

Beauty was the answer, we needed to fill our eyes with beauty.

Perhaps today you could order flowers as a gift to a friend, or yourself. Perhaps you could nourish the real beautiful part of yourself rather than any external illusion. Perhaps?

We know it works, all the research shows us it does. Behavioral research conducted at Rutgers University proves the presence of flowers has an immediate impact on happiness  and increases life satisfaction and enjoyment. They help recharge our batteries. In fact an on-line survey found that 88% of people agree that a gift of flowers changes your mood for the better.

So nourish the part of you that is real and enduring and let go of the scary stories, they are directionless. Flowers can help you deliver yourself to where you naturally need to be. Beautifully.

Flowers bring on the sunshine even during the gloomiest of days! Did I ever tell you my mom was a florist? I worked with her until college and even then when I came home on weekends. She built a most successful business out of the simplest things for she was most creative. There is a story you might enjoy @ Read Twigs, Leaves and Pine Cones.

    • You know even with our creativity we can get gloomy and you know that story with mossie was wonderful,so creative. We give thanks for this generous sharing. You and your mother are true peace sharers in this world using the most gentle of gifts. Flowers

  2. Ruthie Rosa says:

It is a question, practically of relationship. We must get back into relation, vivid and nourishing relation to the cosmos and the universe. . . . For the truth is, we are perishing for lack of fulfillment of our greater needs, we are cut off from the great sources of our inward nourishment and renewal, sources which flow eternally in the universe. Vitally, the human race is dying. It is like a great uprooted tree, with its roots in the air. We must plant ourselves again in the universe.

    • We give thanks for your comments that remind us that without exception peace is our nature and that its through the gift of know that that tree you refer to is a reflection of that everlasting expression of peace and joy. Possibly its that everlasting truth that enables illness to become wellness again because it was always the source from which we draw our life force from. What a beautiful opening into deep on going reflections of the beauties of our natural inner peace. Our norm, rather than our exception that we can return to. We give thanks for your flowering.

    • Wow, it’s so interesting you triggered more from us so much more agreement and harmony.

The great peace prayers of Mother Teresa,St Francis and the ancients come to mind. Thank you Ruthie for reminding us to remain open to that love, joy and happiness you direct us to re experience through your amazing comment.

Yes Ruthie it comes from our own decisions to become at peace within ourselves first. To quieten down after dissapointments, hurts, failures or other pains to tap into the natural Peace that the entire cosmos is made from.

This is the single place of peace where we all originate from, that place where there are no obstructions to itself, where we can never argue or fight with ourselves because we are the source of everything is our beauty. the place we flower from. Felling into that place with anything is our way of reuniting our perceptions of broken pieces. Why, because everything comes from that place, so anything can direct us to consciously refocus our energises on enjoying its presence.

Yes Ruthie, the joy of flowers and beauty is about enjoying, having a laugh, giggle, fun with this space. We link good energy with it, so we want to return to it. This eternal place of peace. We all come from there this garden of peace and joy and we make our love for it come alive by appreciating it with our gifts of admiration for each other. Flowers are just one way to express how we take good care to cherish this peace that will never leave us. Never abandon us. We take it with us in all situations.

Gosh we feel our own outpouring here!

Thank you for gently helping us to softly yet urgently remember to drink from that knowing that as we clean up ourselves first and drink from the well of truth that peace is revealed. That it is ours naturally, given freely, and is that which allows those flowers we so adore to have the radiant impact in our lives.

Mother Teresa offered us this prayer. We share it here.

Make us worthy Lord to serve our fellow men throughout the world,
who live and die in poverty and hunger.
Give them through our hands, this day, their daily bread
and by our understanding love give peace and joy.
Lord, make me a channel of thy peace.
That where there is hatred I may bring love,
That where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness,
That where there is discord, I may bring harmony,
That where there is error I may bring truth,
That where there is doubt I may bring faith,
That where there is despair I may bring hope,
That where there are shadows I may bring light,
That where there is sadness I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted,
To understand than to be understood,
To love than to be loved.
For it is by forgetting self that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven,
it is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.

Ruthie, you are beautiful, a clear picture of cyclic renewal. And we thank you for popping by and enriching your community with questions that appreciate the cyclic nature of this wellspring of peace, joy, happiness, beauty and love expressed even at the most repeatingly confusing, isolating and darkest of times. It’s totally temporary compared to the everlasting nature of peace.

We will that you allow yourself flowers today.

We wonder what others in our community would like to share?
