Beloved Flower Lover,
Well reading an article by www.evanmarckatz.com, Master relationship coach from the US, who had an article on the subject. We found that he suggested that the general consensus was, ‘No flowers on the first date because it’s weird!
Further research showed the opposite. Yay!
So we decided to stop and ask the question again to those close to us. The general responses were;
Why should we even ask when it’s a form of intimate expression?
Choose flowers from your heart, let your heart be your guide.
Ok, we said. We stopped and pondered.
In our line of work (lifestyle florsity) we often notice that what ever you do to yourself, you do for others!
Because of that we are often led to think about how sacred it is that someone actually wants to spend time with us, you!
They could have remained separate,stay in, watch TV,do whatever yet opened up to share. With you. There is no need to think its creepy, or desperate just because someone just wants to share.
A lady buying flowers, was recently talking to us about her first date and said it was the man’s sincerity that led her to say yes to his invitation for a date. She went onto explain that as she stood there listening to his invitation, she thought, “here is someone who wants to spend time with me, why brush it off?”
They are now very much in love…
What we took from that, is that there is much more entertainment to be had by sharing love rather than shrug it off, joust, or play sport with the idea of gift sharing, under the banner of ,’ this is a form of an aliveness’. We know that when a man puts him self out, it’s a big deal. We all grow, when we participate in the great tradition of gift giving between me and women. We always like to use flowers as a gentle symbol of that tradition. Even for the rebellious types!
We guess the starting point is ‘Who Am I when I share from the heart’?
When we look through the eyes of love, what do we see. Maybe, its the ‘reality’ of the love that is already there within.
We wonder what do you think? Who’s eyes do we look through? Would you give flowers on the first date? have you? why did you? what happened?
….this is a time of wonderful new beginnings!
