Beloved Flower Lover,
Thanks for tuning in. Flowers express how we feel about things, situations, relationships. They are what we choose to express ourselves. Autumn then has a theme for us at The London Flower Lover, ‘it’s all about letting go of what no longer works’, so we can get clear and focus on what matters most. To keep choosing love. To keep extending the love. Why, because if we stop extending love we feel like we may not be loved again. Flowers can help us remain open to keep on loving so we feel that we remain lovable.
It’s a time to get clear. A time to get quieter so we can feel the benefits of letting the winds of autumn change clear away debris of outdatedness. Sometimes we have to let go of an outdated floristry practice, or even lover! Yes, we apply this principle to our floristry, our event work our design work and to our relationships.
Let’s focus we say.
Let’s review the way we think, so we can update ourselves on the lessons we have had this year. This helps us to get clear and get receptive to provide better services to clients. Instead of getting faster and rushing around for the up coming holidays, we slow down and get quieter. What is the value of that? How do you benefit?
Well it’s a time to patiently see the results from being quiet and still even if it appears like things are dying off. To let go of impatience and to start this time of year with an appreciation for quiet and stillness. It’s time. It’s a power. It’s our intention here.
In design terms, we listen out for clients who also enjoy working for colour’s and textures that slow us down. We look at what works and what did not work. We work with that place. We know there are so many more chapters ahead. And we have noticed that it’s a lovely give and take as we can explain to our clients how we use colour harmony, contrast of texture, line, pattern and so on to reflect these characteristics. We wait and accept ourselves to do this, so we are not trespassing on ourselves or others. Not asking to change, but just accepting things just the way things are. Just allowing things to unfold.
Going back to design, we turn inwards as we immerse ourselves in knowing that it is a time to let go of the past designs by learning how you have benefited, changed, grown. That’s how you update, out of date feelings about flowers or how people use flowers.
We always ask that question how do people use flowers, and what for? Flowers are so often used as expressions for important relationships, so we take the time to learn about the value that they express. To accept things where they are.
Flowers activate emotions. Connect us to what we are feeling. So yes you, we, I learn these heartfelt lessons.
Better still, the value of this autumn time is that we now can draw a line regarding what we have mastered. We can acknowledge how we feel. That we have learned those lessons now. It’s a good test to reclaim that sense of personal approval, even if to the outside world that that lesson has not been learnt.
Autumn is a time to change, to create that space to decide to not let the past be the final chapter of your story, our story. Autumn shows us that everything is changing. So we can participate in that change ourselves.
Love it or hate it. We can let go of stuckness, letting go of repeating the same story, the same chapter ending. This is a time to let go of hurt feelings, a time to let go of ideas of an error free past. And because no one benefits from holding onto hurtful ideas about self or others, it can be a regrouping, recharging time.
So yes, autumn is the time to wish for everyone’s happiness, in every situation. Willing it to be true. Envisioning that others be free of the past, to have a happy life for everyone. For a fresh start, a new start. That’s what autumn prepares us for. And it’s not just an idea. You choose to experience that and flowers can help you to freely imagine this. To use your imagination with a massive smile, wishing happiness for others. Smiling as there is a release from the past, so they can get on with their lives.
Flowers then become linked to happiness again. They become our gift from our choices to make that shift. There is so much we get from the beautiful ritual of giving and receiving flowers. Especially doing this at this time of year.
For us the affection comes through with the flowers. This self care invites patterns of the mind that are so caring. Mmmmmmmmmm delish! Flowers give us a ritual time to catch ourselves in the process. Opening up ourselves even more to receiving the showering of love, care, and peace and joy. Giving or receiving it. Opening up even more to this time where we are drawing inwards into ourselves as the days are getting shorter. Creating them with that intention whole heartedly.
Love you and thank you
