Early Preparations for Your Wedding Flowers
Ideally you should allow 6-12 weeks advance notice for wedding flowers but we at The London Flower Lover Flowers have been known to provide wedding flowers in as little as 48 hours! But, do bear in mind that during busy periods such as Valentine’s Day, Mothering Sunday and Christmas the availability of florists will be limited, so a premium may be required.
We recommend that any decisions regarding your wedding flowers should only be made once the wedding dress has been chosen as the style and colour scheme of your flowers should complement the wedding attire as well as reflect the personality of the bride and groom.
You don’t have to be Alan Titchmarsh to know which flowers you would like. Take a look at our bespoke wedding flowers where all the flowers we have incorporated into wedding arrangements are identified. If you have time while you are out shopping, a great way to become familiar with the different varieties of flowers is to visit your local market where you will find flowers on display clearly named and priced.
Guide to Seasonal Wedding Flowers
But don’t forget, some flowers can become much more expensive to source (and less ecologically-friendly) when ‘out of season’. Check out our ‘ready reckoner’ below to help you choose more economical, less environmentally damaging stems by the season they naturally grow…
